If you can’t make the party, you can easily donate online.

How can you help?

• Tell your friends & come shopping!!

If you have items to donate for the garage sale, please email Mark or Lisa or call 778-280-8015.

What sort of donated goods are they looking for?
• Houseware (plates, glasses, cutlery, knick-knacks, mirrors, art). Furniture, sports gear, kids’ toys, baby equipment
• Collectibles such as vinyl records
• Electronics (if new or < 2 yrs old, and in mint condition)

Facts about Fanconi Anemia (FA)
• An inherited DNA repair disorder that may lead to bone marrow failure, leukemia and/or solid tumours
• Caused by a mutation in one of 22 different genes
• A person with FA is 500 times more likely than the general
population to develop certain types of cancer, at a much earlier age

Why should you care?
• FA research benefits everyone:
• At least 5 FA genes – including BRCA1 and BRCA2 – are breast
cancer susceptibility genes, meaning therapies developed for FA
will benefit cancer patients too
• Research $$ have helped uncover important information about DNA
repair & cancer overall, plus have significantly improved outcomes
in bone marrow transplant survival
• More than 95% of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund’s
annual budget comes from family fundraisers like ours
• There is no cure for Fanconi anemia…. Yet
